Two important discussions on eugenics and AI

August 18, 2025
Hi there - if you’re interested in learning more about how eugenics is a building block of the vast majority of current artificial intelligence tools, please take a look at this post over in my Patreon group. There, you’ll find two offerings on this critical topic:
a link to a brilliant article by Melodie KG that includes a draft of a bill of rights for using AI (the header for Melodie’s article is the image featured as the thumbnail for this message); and
an invitation to join Yigit Menguc and me for a conversation meant to help all of us talk about it in everyday situations.
As I’ve mentioned before, I do keep most of the posts in my Patreon group behind a membership wall in order to minimize the time I spend dealing with trolls and saboteurs. However, it’s NOT a paywall (although I do think it’s important for folks to be paying members if they have the resources, which supports my commitment to equity fees in all my work).
As always, please keep recommending me to friends and colleagues who might need a business coach or strategic planner (my specialty as a planner is small shops). My equity pricing structure means I can help most folks and I have extensive experience, especially in the area of social justice. Some of my clients run high-revenue businesses, while others run non-profits or part-time or one-person businesses.
I try to be transparent about my identity as a white, cis-het, middle-class woman in the U.S., because I think it’s important for my potential clients to know. I often get to work with people who have identities that differ from mine, and together, we are building a world where our lives and work are much better because of it.
Have a meaningful day,
Kay Coughlin, CEO and Business Coach, Facilitator on Fire
