Poke some fun at the world of work
And two other things you'll want to hear about

July 23, 2025
Hi there - Just wanted to let you know about three upcoming opportunities that are all unusual, meaningful and possibly even refreshing. I hope you’ll participate in all of them if you can!
Have a laugh at the world of work and livelihood.
Who says we can't have a little fun - especially at the expense of the systems designed to take advantage of us? Join the Liberatory Livelihood Association's very own Heather Luna for an hour of blowing off some steam by poking fun at the very things causing us the most drama in our livelihoods. Poke. Poke! POKE!!!! 🤣
Friday August 1, 3 pm eastern U.S. (New York) time. Register here. (Or just reply to this email and I’ll get you registered.)
For non-profits: a CRM tune-up (this one is time-sensitive - it’s this Friday, July 25th).
If you are involved in fundraising in any way, even from afar, you know that there is never enough time to prepare for the year-end fundraising season. The problem is, by waiting too late to prep your systems, you might be inadvertently putting roadblocks up, making it less attractive - or impossible! - for donors to give. Join my client Staci Lowell for this webinar on July 25th to help you get started now and avoid last-minute frantic antics. Details here (FYI, if you click on the link and scroll down, you’ll see something that brought me to tears of gratitude; in fact, I still tear up when I see it).
Eugenics and AI are intertwined right now, so what are you curious to discuss about it?
I’m leading a Big Read (a community reading effort) of the paper, “The TESCREAL bundle: Eugenics and the promise of utopia through artificial general intelligence” by Timnit Gebru and Émile P. Torres (read it free, here). This paper is filled with critical information we all need to know about the resurgence of eugenics and how it is baked into most of the AI tools we know today - but I know it can be a heavy lift to dig into something this heavy on your own. I’m a beginner to most of this material, but I want to hear from you whether you are a newbie or someone with a more advanced level of experience. Please tell me what you’re curious about using my questionnaire here.
You don’t have to be a member of my Patreon group (here) to join this discussion, but that is where I will be hosting the bulk of the conversation for this Big Read. (Reminder: my membership wall on Patreon is NOT a paywall, and my intention is to provide the community for free, but I always welcome paid members because your funding helps me continue to do all of my work on an equity pricing model.)
Please forward this message to anybody you know who might be interested in joining this discussion on eugenics and AI.
As always, please keep recommending me to friends and colleagues who might need a business coach. My equity pricing structure means I can help most folks who need a business coach and/or strategic planner, and I have extensive experience, especially in the area of social justice.
I try to be transparent about my identity as a white, cis-het, middle-class woman in the U.S., because I think it’s important for my potential clients to know. I do often get to work with people who have many identities that differ from mine, and together, we are building a world where our lives and work are much better because of it.
Have a meaningful day,
Kay Coughlin, CEO and Business Coach, Facilitator on Fire
